(All you should need to know about Oxon Hoath can be found on their website, but we have written a little here from our perspective and of things that we thought you might like to know.)

If you have read the 'About' section, you will know how we came to choose this venue, or rather it chose us! We have known about Oxon Hoath for many years and I had often looked at the website, the retreat weekends and beautiful weddings that happen there. It's been a place I have wanted to experience a retreat but just never got round to. Finally, in April this year I booked an appointment to go and view the possibilities and the rest, as they say, is history…

VENUE

The Food

All meals will be home cooked and vegetarian. Specific health related dietary requirements can only be catered for if indicated on the booking form

Obviously the bedrooms are dotted about all over the place across three floors and wings of the property and we can supply you with a floorplan on arrival if necessary.

The Grounds

We have 73acres at our disposal, including a lake, woodlands, dells and a formal garden. There are fabulous views from all the rooms we will be using, as well as access directly outside through the floor to ceiling windows! So, we hope the weather will be kind in order to make the most of what this fabulous estate has to offer.

Dining Room - seats up to 50 split into two adjoining rooms where we will all share breakfast and evening meals (lunches will be buffet style).

Kitchen - situated just around from the conference room. This is where you can help yourself to liquid refreshments throughout the weekend

The First Floor

The Dance Studio - just at the top of the stairs (no lift), this room will be our Sound Healing Temple (if there are a number of people that cannot make the first floor it is possible to organise this in the ground floor reception hall)

Bar Lounge - this we feel will be a 'chill out' room, scattered with comfy chairs and sofas we feel it lends itself to informal one to one sessions/readings

Library - an imposing looking Jacobean room, but with an amazing sense of peace and stillness. We anticipate the speakers/guardians will set up their stands in this lovely space. If it's cold, this is where we can enjoy the log fire

Conference Room - seats up to 75 and this is where all the talks/presentations will be held

The House

It is old, loved and well lived in. The rooms span across three floors and wings and there is no lift, so you must please inform us of any disability before booking to make sure we can accommodate you in a ground floor room.

The Ground Floor

The Ground Floor is principally made up of the following rooms:

Reception Hall - a lovely light, large and airy space where you will be greeted upon your arrival.

The venue is situated in rural Kent at the end of a very long, slightly bumpy drive, having already navigated a few country lanes up from the village of Hadlow. Although rural, it is actually easy to find by car (full directions on the Oxon Hoath website), however, it is a few miles from the nearest train station in Tonbridge. For anyone having to come by public transport it is possible we can arrange to collect you and drop you off again, please contact us about this when booking.
